I have been in Massachusetts for about 3 1/2 months. I have not worked at Chili's for almost 4 months.
You may be wondering where I'm going with this. Well... I have realized what has changed the most about me since coming out here. One is the lack of social outings I have been on since moving. Another is work. I have hardly been working, with the exception of maintaining a house. Well... not so much a house as an apartment. Anyway... all of this has contributed to the biggest change about me since moving out here. My weight. I would love to say it's went down, but that is not the case. It has went up. I'm too scared to stand on the scale so I'm unsure how high the number actually is. (I probably wouldn't tell you the number if I knew it anyway.) If you are reading this, then you obviously know I have embraced my free time by spending it in the kitchen. It has finally caught up to me. Silly me thought when I wasn't working at Chili's anymore that I might drop a couple pounds. I failed to think if I wasn't working 50 hours a week (most of which was on my feet) that the pounds might start to add on.
So, here I am. I officially feel fat. If I don't start changing something about my diet and daily routine, it will be 100x harder to change later. And honestly, I am planning on visiting home in January and I don't want my friends to secretly wonder, "What happened to her? She got so fat!!"
I realize my timing of trying to eat healthier is not ideal. After all, Thanksgiving is in 4 days. I have given myself this next week to continue in my terrible, but delicious, eating habits. (Tonight we're having Chicago style Deep Dish Pizza!!)
So, now to you my dear friend. What can you suggest for low calorie meals and snacks? Wouldn't it be great to be 33 years old and in great shape?!?
